Scan Management
What is the Scans page?
The Scans page is where you can see all the accessibility analyses you've performed on your website. Each scan represents the analysis of a specific page and contains detailed information about issues found, compliance scores, and statistics.
How to get started?
If you haven't performed any scans yet, you'll see a message inviting you to get started. You can perform scans from the dashboard, the sitemap page, or using quick actions. Once a scan is completed, it will automatically appear on this page.
Status Filters
At the top of the page you can filter scans based on their status:
All
Shows all scans, regardless of status. This is the default filter.
Completed
Shows only scans that have been completed successfully. These scans have all data available and you can view detailed reports.
In Progress
Shows only scans that are currently running. You'll see a spinning icon indicating that the scan is in progress.
Errors
Shows only scans that have failed. These scans didn't complete the analysis and may have an error message explaining what went wrong.
Information for Each Scan
Each scan in the list shows various information:
Scan Status
At the top of each card you see:
- Status icon: A colored icon indicating the status
- 🟢 Green checkmark: Scan completed
- 🔴 Red X: Scan failed
- 🔄 Spinning: Scan in progress
- Title: The title of the scanned page (if available)
- Status badge: A colored badge showing the textual status
Page Details
Below the title you see:
- URL: The complete address of the page that was scanned
- Date: The date and time when the scan was performed
Issue Statistics
For completed scans, you see four cards showing the issues found:
Critical
This card shows how many critical issues were found. Critical issues are those that prevent or make it very difficult to access content for users with disabilities.
Important note: The number shown automatically excludes issues you've disabled from the Issues page. This gives you an accurate view of active issues.
Warnings
This card shows how many warning issues were found. Warnings reduce usability but don't completely prevent access.
Info
This card shows how many informational issues were found. These are suggestions for improvements that aren't critical.
Total
This card shows the total number of issues found, including all types (critical, warning, info).
Note: These numbers also exclude issues you've disabled, so they reflect only active issues.
Compliance Scores
For completed scans, you see three cards with compliance scores:
General Compliance
This is the overall accessibility score of the page. It's calculated as a weighted average between Level A (75%) and Level AA (25%).
The score is a percentage:
- 80-100%: Excellent! The page is very accessible
- 60-79%: Good, but there's room for improvement
- 40-59%: The page has several issues to resolve
- Below 40%: Critical situation, many issues to fix
Important note: This score is automatically recalculated excluding issues you've disabled. So if you disable some issues from the Issues page, you'll see the updated score here.
WCAG Level A
This score shows how much the page respects Level A of WCAG standards. Level A is the basic level of accessibility.
WCAG Level AA
This score shows how much the page respects Level AA of WCAG standards. Level AA is the standard recommended level for most websites.
Note: These scores are also recalculated excluding disabled issues, so they reflect real compliance based only on active issues.
Error Messages
If a scan has failed, you'll see a red card with the error message. This helps you understand what went wrong during the scan.
Some common reasons why a scan might fail:
- The page is not reachable
- The page requires authentication
- There was an error during analysis
- The page has a timeout
Available Actions
For each scan you can perform several actions:
View Report
The button with the eye icon (👁) takes you to the detailed report of the scan. Here you can see:
- All issues found with complete details
- Recommendations on how to fix each issue
- Technical information for developers
- References to WCAG and EAA standards
Note: This button is only available for scans completed successfully.
Delete Scan
The button with the trash icon (🗑) allows you to delete a scan. You'll be asked for confirmation before deleting.
Warning: Deleting a scan removes it completely. You won't be able to see its data or reports anymore. If you only want to hide it temporarily, use filters instead of deleting it.
Required permissions: Only Pro and Enterprise users can delete scans.
Automatic Update
The page updates automatically when:
- You complete a new scan
- A scan in progress is completed
- A scan fails
You don't need to reload the page manually. New data will automatically appear in the list.
Recalculated Scores
An important feature of this page is that scores and statistics are automatically recalculated excluding issues you've disabled from the Issues page.
How it works
When you disable an issue from the Issues page, that issue is excluded from:
- Issue counts (critical, warning, info, total)
- General compliance score calculation
- WCAG Level A and AA score calculations
This allows you to see what the score would be if those issues weren't considered, useful when:
- An issue is a false positive
- An issue isn't applicable to your specific case
- You've already fixed an issue but haven't rescanned yet
Why it's useful
Recalculated scores give you a more accurate view of the real accessibility status, excluding issues you've decided to ignore. This is particularly useful for:
- Monitoring improvements over time
- Having a realistic view of compliance
- Focusing only on issues that require attention
Useful Tips
-
Use filters: Filters are very useful for quickly finding scans you're interested in, especially if you have many.
-
Check recalculated scores: If you've disabled some issues, the scores shown here reflect the real situation excluding those issues.
-
View reports: Click "View report" to see all details of a scan and understand exactly what needs to be fixed.
-
Monitor scans in progress: If you see "In progress" scans, wait for them to complete to see full results.
-
Handle errors: If a scan fails, check the error message to understand what went wrong. You might need to verify that the page is reachable or doesn't require authentication.
-
Don't delete too quickly: Before deleting a scan, make sure you've saved or exported the data you need, because deletion is permanent.
Required Permissions
Some features require specific accounts:
- Viewing scans: All users (Demo, Pro, Enterprise) can view scans
- Filters: Only Pro and Enterprise users can use filters
- Deleting scans: Only Pro and Enterprise users can delete scans
Demo users can see all scans but cannot delete them or use advanced filters.
When there are no scans
If you haven't performed any scans yet, you'll see a message inviting you to:
- Perform a scan from the dashboard
- Upload a sitemap and scan pages
- Use quick actions to scan a single URL
Once you complete the first scan, it will automatically appear on this page.
If you're using a filter and there are no scans with that status, you'll see a message informing you that there are no scans with the selected status. Try changing the filter or removing it to see all scans.
